Facilitated peer learning for lead pastors and teams to build meaningful connections and be equipped for ministry in the unique context of the West Coast.

Who We Are

West Coast Church Collective is an initiative led by Glenn Packiam (Rockharbor Church) and Jay Kim (WestGate Church), dedicated to renewing pastors, teams, and churches across the West Coast. Through intentional relationships, shared learning, and transformative gatherings, we want to have contextualized conversations specific to the unique challenges, opportunities, and nuances of West Coast cities.

What We Offer

Our collective is designed to provide both in-person and online experiences that cultivate encounter, formation, and mission in the lives of church leaders and their teams.

  • Two immersive gatherings over eight months offer experiential learning and space to build meaningful relationships. These gatherings take place at our anchor churches:

    • October 18-19, 2026 at Imago Dei (Portland, OR)

      May 16-17, 2027 at WestGate (San Jose, CA)

    A typical gathering includes:

    • Saturday Evening - Optional dinner for lead pastors before the in-person

    • Sunday Morning - Optional Sunday worship gathering at host church

    • Sunday Evening - Kickoff dinner 

    • Monday Gathering - Space to learn from one another, share best practices, and experience the presence of God together

    • Monday Evening - Send off dinner

  • Between in-person gatherings, we offer six monthly online learning sessions in role-specific peer groups designed for facilitated learning and discussion:

    • Preaching Cohort

    • Formation Cohort

    • Worship Cohort

    • Lead Pastor Cohort

    • Executive Pastor Cohort

    • Next-Gen Cohort (TBD)

    • Communications Cohort (TBD)

    These groups focus on collaborative learning, contextualized conversations, and practical resourcing for the unique challenges of ministry in West Coast cities.
